Ro founder Lars Larsen grew up in the countryside of Zealand. He's a farm boy at heart. Nature and farm life shaped him early on. It's stayed with him ever since.
After high school Lars spent his winters skiing and teaching Telemark. He attended a Norwegian outdoor school where fishing, hiking and kayaking were daily practice. A serious knee injury ended his skiing life and started a new one: studying product design at the Royal Danish Academy.
In 2005 Lars founded the industrial design studio Kilo Design. Now, with decades of experience and a succession of accolades behind him, he's building Ro. Inspired by nature. His childhood. And raising his own kids.
